Nice November

Nice November

December 03, 2024

Did it get cold quick, or is it just me?  Wisconsin sure does love its weather changes.  I suppose most of us do as well since we’re here, right?  Right?

Incredibly November just kept on pushing up and ending with the S&P500 up over 26% on the year!  Even the US Aggregate Bond index was up around a percentage point.  That is the type of month that we all can get used to.  That being said, don’t forget we’re hovering around record highs.  Pullbacks are completely normal.  Let’s make sure you’re in the proper risk tolerance every annual review.

The Federal reserve ended up cutting their benchmark interest rate by 0.25%, which was expected.  However, the markets are not expecting another cut in December after the latest Fed chair statements.

For those of you on social security, the cost-of-living-adjustment was announced.  You can expect an increase in benefits of 2.5%

Housekeeping reminders:

Be sure your Required Minimum Distribution has been fulfilled!  If you are unsure, give us a call.  The IRS imposes a 25% penalty on missed distribution amounts.

As a reminder, we’re going to have a private Santa event again this year.  Last year Santa read a book to the kids, and we all had a great time.  To sign up, just give us a call or email us.  This is a client-only event.  Feel free to bring the kids or grandkids!  It will be held on Tuesday, December 10th from 5-6pm.

If I don’t see you, have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Thank you all for your trust in our firm.  We don’t exist without you!
