Welcome to November! It’s been an incredible year so far for the S&P500 with it up around 20%. Bonds are still struggling with the aggregate bond index down about 1%. Hopefully another rate cut or two will spur the bond market a bit.
With the S&P500 bouncing around record highs, just keep in mind that the pullbacks are completely normal and part of the stock market cycle. Always think long-term. I try to look out five years in advance. I’ll ask myself whether I think it will be higher than it is today. I’ve always come to the conclusion that I think it will be. This brings me back to a confident view of investments and settles any nerves we all might have.
We already went over election effects last month so no real need this time. Feel free to look back at October’s commentary for a refresher. I’m sure at the very least we’ll all be happy when the commercials are over!
Before you know it, Christmas will be here. We’re going to have a private Santa event again this year. Last year Santa read a book to the kids, and we all had a great time. To sign up, just give us a call or email us. This is a client-only event. Feel free to bring the kids or grandkids! It will be held on Tuesday, December 10th from 5-6pm.
I know this one is a bit short, but I think everyone is just in the mindset of election and holidays so I don't want to overload with a bunch of interest rate and economic topics. Have a great November and Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Thank you all for your trust in our firm. We are truly grateful that you are with us.
